PRODUCTION STAFF PROFILES:

JEREMIAH BARR (Properties Designer/Technical Director) is very pleased to be back on stage with the amazing and talented cast and crew of Mamma Mia!  Some of his previous work with Dominican Includes She Kills Monsters, You Will Be Found, Chamber Music, and 9 to 5. When not here at Dominican his work can be seen with Aston Rep Theatre Company, Northlight Theatre, Congo Square, Actors Garden and Promethean Theatre Ensemble, just to name a few. A huge thanks to Sam.

SAMANTHA K BARR (Production Manager/Sound Engineer) is thrilled to be working with such a fine cast and crew here at Dominican University. When not at DU, Sam is often found working with AstonRep Theater Co, light designing around Chicago, and working with many orchestras. Sam would like thank her peers here at DU, and as always Jer ad Doc and Scout.

SHANE CINAL (Scenic Designer) is a scenic designer, artist and educator who enjoys developing a thoughtful world through scenery and innovation for theatre. He is excited and honored to collaborate with Krista and Dominican University on this celebratory production of Mamma Mia! Shane has received awards and accolades for productions of The Boatman, Assassins, Into the Woods, The Jedi Handbook, Steel Magnolias, Home, The Visit and the evocative One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. He has a strong background in new and conceptual works for theatre and opera. Shane holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre and in History from Indiana University-Bloomington and received his Masters of Fine Arts in Scenic Design from the Ohio State University. www.shanecinal.com

LIZ COOPER (Lighting Designer) is excited to be designing her first show for Dominican University! Some of her favorite lighting design credits include The Authorized Fan Production of Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, Ghost Quartet, Nevermore, Shockheaded Peter (Black Button Eyes), Thirteen Days, The Sundial, Father Ruffian and Peyton Place (City Lit), Bard Fiction (Commedia Beauregard), A Study in Scarlet and Henry V (Promethean. She is a resident designer at City Lit.

DYANNA DANIELS (Choreographer) began her dance training in 2003 through Western Illinois University’s dance department and the Gwendolyn Brooks Cultural Center Dance Troupe. She received her Bachelor's in Business Marketing from WIU and her MFA in Choreography from Jacksonville University. She has been an adjunct professor at North Central College, Dominican and Aurora University. Dyanna is a teaching artist at Paramount School of Arts and the owner of DLD Dance Center in Downers Grove. 

BECCA DUFF (Costume Designer) is delighted to return to live theatre with this absolute BOP! She is a Chicago actor, costume designer, and creator. An alum of the Dominican University Theatre Department, she has been lucky enough to return to collaborate with these very talented folks several times as a costume designer. Love to Alli. 

DAVID FIORELLO (Music Director) is a Music Director, Performer, Director, Composer & Arranger who’s quite fond of Krista Hansen and Dominican University, having served as Music Director for Dominican’s 2017 production of Songs for a New World. Around Chicago he has served as Music Director for Porchlight’s Gypsy, Do Re Mi, Woman of the Year, several seasons of the New Faces Sing Broadway series, as well as several Chicago Sings & Icons Gala benefits. He also appeared onstage for them as Joe in Merrily We Roll Along, and is the Music Director of the upcoming Blues in the Night, starring Tony-nominee Felcia P. Fields. David currently serves as Founder & Artistic Director of THE BEAUTIFUL CITY PROJECT, a theatre company committed to raising funds for local Chicago charities & non-profits, using some of the city’s finest musical theatre talents. He’s Music Directed National & International Tours, including John Doyle’s re-imagining of Sweeney Todd. He also served as Music Director for the Off-Broadway hit Danny & Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical. His orchestrations and arrangements have been heard across the nation, and on several albums. He's taught and Directed/Music Directed as part of the International Lyric Academy in Italy, and is adjunct faculty at Columbia College Chicago. KRISTA HANSEN (Director/Dialect Coach/Sound Designer) is in her 19th year with Dominican, serving as Artistic Director, Professor and Chair of Theatre Arts. Krista holds a BA in Theatre and Vocal Performance from Indiana University and an MFA in Acting and Directing from the University of Arizona. She has directed dozens of Dominican productions, including: 9 to 5, The Addams Family, The Drowsy Chaperone, Macbeth, Legally Blonde, The Laramie Project, RENT, Noises Off and many more. Krista has also appeared on stage alongside her students playing the title role in Mother Courage and Her Children. She has worked with many theatres throughout Chicagoland, including AstonRep, Metropolis Performing Arts Centre, Erasing the Distance, and others. She is a recipient of the Davlin Diversity Award, serves on the Advisory Board of The Beautiful City Project, and is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Krista sends love to Charlotte and the boys; and deep thanks to the incredible team of genuinely kind human beings and collaborators who have accompanied her on the Mamma Mia! journey— “I believe in angels, something good in everything I see...”

JANELLE MANNO (Costume Shop Manager) is making her way through her first musical as the Costume Shop Manager at Dominican University. A proud member of the Chicago Costume Community, Janelle has enjoyed working at many Chicago-area theatres including Paramount, Steppenwolf, and Writers Theatre. None of this would have been possible without the love and support of her family: Ali, Lemon & Toño.

DANNIE MOORE (Assistant Production Manager/Sound Operator) is thrilled to be back at Dominican for another production! They graduated in 2012 and 2014. Now, they work as a children's librarian at the River Forest library! When not elbow deep in books, they are singing as a Soprano II with the Windy City Treble Quire or hanging out with one of their dogs. They want to thank Eyan, Celina, and Sage for being the best partners.

MARYAH PAIGE (Stage Manager/Light Board Operator) is a junior at Dominican University studying Technical Theatre. They are excited for you to see Mamma Mia! and all the work they’ve done as this production’s stage manager. This is the first show they were lead stage manager for on campus, but they were rehearsal stage manager for She Kills Monsters last Spring and assistant stage manager for 9 to 5 in fall of 2019. They hope you enjoy the show!

MELANIE THOMPSON (Assistant Production Manager/Deck Manager) is excited to get back at DU; it’s good to be home! Past credits include: Elizabeth Rex, Much Ado About Nothing (OPRF), His Life Matters (Black Lives, Black Words International Project), That Night (ETD), Good Enough (16th Street Theatre Co.), Evil Dead (Black Button Eyes Productions), I Know My Own Heart (Pride Films & Plays), The Lonesome West (AstonRep), KOALAS (16th Street Theatre Co.), Docfest 2018 (ETD), The Laramie Project (AstonRep), I Can Cook Too (DUPAC). NADINE YOUNG (Assistant Stage Manager/Stage Crew) is an undergrad sophomore who’s excited to have Mamma Mia! as her first show. She’s very grateful for the opportunity and experience being an assistant stage manager and has fallen in love with the position. She’d like to thank everyone in the show for being amazing people to work alongside and can’t wait for what's next!
