What You Need to Know When Transferring to Dominican 

With dedicated support, personalized guidance and a hassle-free credit transfer process, transferring to Dominican is straightforward and efficient. Here are the answers to the questions on top of your mind.

Applying is simple! Complete our transfer application and submit official transcripts from every college or university you’ve attended. 

Once your materials are received, our admission team will guide you through the next steps and keep you updated along the way. 

Dominican's rapid-response admission process means that when you complete your Dominican application materials, you will receive an admission decision within two weeks. We make admission decisions on a rolling basis beginning October 15. Apply by our priority application date of November 15 to receive priority consideration for merit scholarships. 

Transfer Requirements include:

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 on 4.0 scale
  • Students transferring with fewer than 12 semester hours must also meet freshman requirements
  • Students with fewer than 24 semester hours of college credit must also submit official high school transcripts

Ever wish transferring came with a road map? Well, at Dominican, it does. Get the process started by scheduling a one-on-one consultation with a dedicated transfer counselor who will help you draw up a road map specific to your goals. Then, your academic advisor will partner with you to stay on track.

Yes. While Dominican does accept College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) credit, we recommend you review our policies and connect with a transfer admission counselor in advance of registering for an exam.

After being admitted, First-Year and Transfer students, along with those enrolling in the programs listed here, must secure their place in the entering class by paying their tuition deposit in the application portal. The deposit is refundable until May 1 for fall enrollment and November 1 for spring enrollment. Learn more.
