2020 Tactics
- Ensure that Faculty Handbook criterion “Ability to Create Inclusive Classrooms” is addressed in faculty reviews, collaborating with the Faculty Appointments Committee and the Post‐Tenure Review and Sabbatical Committee.
- Revise and formalize faculty search protocols.
2020 Progress Points
- 40+ faculty (primarily teaching in first‐year core curriculum) took an online summer course on “Foundations of Inclusive Teaching Practice.”
- Nearly 100 faculty and staff took Spanish mini-courses to develop their language skills.
Challenges/Areas of 2021 Focus
- Reengage compensation planning
- Increase racial diversity among faculty and senior staff
- Extend formal search protocols to administrative staff searches
