All faculty and staff are invited to attend the 2024 Commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 5, at the Rosemont Theatre, 5400 N. River Road, Rosemont, Illinois (NOT the Allstate Arena)

Undergraduate Ceremony, 12:00 p.m.

Graduate Ceremony, 4:30 p.m.

Registration

To assist in the planning and coordination of the ceremonies, all faculty and staff will be asked to complete a simple online registration form that you will receive via email in early April.

The form will collect info on which ceremony(ies) you are attending, whether you will be present for the light lunch between the ceremonies, if you need a parking pass or will be using the university shuttle, and if you'd like to volunteer to help check in and line up students backstage before each ceremony.

Coffee service will be available before the first ceremony and a light lunch will be served between the two for those who plan to stay for both ceremonies. The commencement registration form, sent to you on April 3rd, will ask whether or not you plan to stay for both ceremonies so that we can have an accurate count for lunch.

Processional

All teaching faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged to join the procession for either or both ceremonies, along with additional staff colleagues who have traditionally marched. You are more than welcome at both ceremonies; in fact, you are encouraged to participate in both, if you can.

Full-time faculty members who teach undergraduate students are expected to participate, in academic regalia, in the Noon ceremony. Please plan to arrive at the Rosemont Theatre no later than 11:30 a.m.

If you teach graduate students, you are expected to participate, with equal splendor, in the 4:30 ceremony. Please plan to arrive at the Rosemont Theatre no later than 4:00 p.m.

For both ceremonies, processional participants will gather in a curtained off area on the back right side of the lobby (northwest corner).

Regalia
Those participating in the ceremony who need to rent regalia, please contact the Stepan Bookstore by April 12. Orders placed after the deadline will be charged a late fee and your correct school colors may not be available.  Regalia must be returned by Monday, May 13. Contact the Stepan Bookstore for more information: dom@bkstr.com or (708) 426.0860.

We have a limited number of gowns and hoods available for use; please contact debkash@dom.edu to review the inventory.  Regalia is available on a first come/serve basis.
