Whether you’re a Dominican student or from another institution, our summer session courses are a great way to earn credit at a discounted tuition rate.

We offer a wide variety of summer undergraduate courses, including online, hybrid and traditional classroom offerings. Six-week courses are offered during two sessions.

  • Summer Session I: May –June
  • Summer Session II: July–August
Course Offerings

Most of our summer courses are taught by our regular, full-time faculty members. Many of the undergraduate courses may be suitable for transfer credit at other institutions. Students should check with their institution about whether Dominican courses may be accepted for credit.

To view a list of courses offered this summer, use the myDU Course Search and select "Summer 2019–2020" in the term section.

Registering for Summer Courses

Current Dominican students who have been cleared by their advisor can register through myDU.

Students from other institutions must first fill out an online application providing basic information to be eligible to sign up for courses. The summer school online application will open in April 2021.

To apply, you'll need to:

  • Submit an application if you haven't applied to Dominican previously. Be sure to choose “applying as a summer school student” after creating your profile.
  • Submit either an official or unofficial college/university transcript* to the Office of Undergraduate Admission.
  • After you receive an email confirmation and myDU login information, you'll be able to register for courses online through myDU.

*The registration process cannot be completed without submitting an official or unofficial transcript.
