The curriculum for the undergraduate minor will vary some based on the career path of those pursuing the minor. All students will take four required courses (12 credit hours). Those pursuing the Learning Behavior Specialist Endorsement from the Illinois State Board of Education will be required to take the six courses (18 credit hours). Those students who are pursuing a related career, for example as an art therapist, will be able to take two electives in addition to the four required courses.

These courses can be taken as electives by all other students seeking the special education minor.
