Student Life at Dominican, Up Close
Places Built For Togetherness
Building lifelong connections and finding your community are foundations of a Dominican education. We value the time spent with one another, whether that be through reflection, open dialogue, workshops and more.
Student Spaces at DU: Made to Gather, Designed to Connect
The Underground
The perfect place to hang out with friends and take a break from studying, The Underground features a variety of games and spaces to relax.
L-Stop
The L-Stop is a great mix for students who like getting work done, but also having some background noise. It's not as quiet as the library, but not as loud as the Underground.
Learning Commons
Located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Rebecca Crown Library, the Learning Commons houses centralized services, study rooms, social and gathering spaces, and more.
Noonan Reading Room
Located on the second floor of Lewis Hall, the Noonan Reading Room is the perfect atmosphere to read and do homework.
Student Involvement Resource Center (SIRC)
Student clubs and organizations can come to the SIRC and have access to supplies to advertise their programs. Students can also check out board games, art supplies and even a firepit for their club’s events.
Fitness Center
With 3,300-square-feet of total space, the fitness center holds cardio equipment, weight racks and muscle-specific machines. It also has a collection of free weights, jump boxes and plyometric equipment.
