Discover Dominican Open House - Spanish Session

February 21, 2026

Join us on campus this spring for Discover Dominican, our signature open house event presented entirely in Spanish. Learn about your major from our outstanding faculty, and find out why you’ll want to call Dominican home.

Discover Dominican is your chance to learn about your program of interest—directly from one of the professors who teaches it. Designed for prospective freshmen and transfer students, this event will immerse you in the Dominican experience.

You will:

  • Get the inside scoop on life at Dominican from our current students
  • Discover how our 50+ majors will not only prepare you for a career but a lifetime of impact
  • Engage with faculty in your area of interest
  • See how you’ll put your degree to work from day one through internships, study abroad opportunities, the honors program and more
  • Hear about our hassle-free freshman and transfer admission processes
  • Find the answers to all your questions about academics, financial aid, campus life, athletics and more.

Explore our campus through a 50-minute walking tour led by a Student Ambassador. This comprehensive tour covers various facets of campus life, encompassing academics, student experiences, housing, student support services, and cherished Dominican University traditions. Casual apparel and comfortable walking shoes are suggested. Please plan ahead for variable weather conditions.

Students interested in attending the event in English with designated sessions offered in Spanish are encouraged to save the date for our next Discover Dominican on Saturday, April 11.

Head over to campus for this informative experience, where you’ll have an opportunity to connect with our dedicated admission counselors, who will be available to answer any questions you have. You’ll also tour campus and hear from a panel of current Dominican University students, who will be eager to walk you through everything you need to know.

Nursing Program Open House

Discover how Dominican University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program will prepare you to serve as an agent of change in one of the world’s most rewarding professions. Connect with the department’s faculty, explore Dominican’s state-of-the-art clinical simulation laboratories and learn how you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients. This event is open to transfer and prospective first-year students.

Prospective nursing students (traditional first year and transfer students) are invited to come learn more about the nursing program including how to apply for both freshman, transfers, and adult students.

Prospective students are invited to attend virtual information sessions for Dominican's graduate programs. You'll hear from faculty and staff and learn more about classes, curriculum, and the admission process. Virtual information sessions are held via Zoom. A link will be sent to your email address prior to the session.

Application Workshops

Sign up for a 30-minute time slot during which a graduate recruiter will answer questions on the application process and materials. You’ll have the opportunity to email application materials (resume and personal statement) ahead of time for our recruiter to review. Sessions will be held via Zoom. A link will be sent to your email address prior to the session.

Canvas Workshops

This workshop will demonstrate Canvas, the Dominican University Learning Management System (LMS). During the workshop, a graduate recruiter will show how Canvas is utilized by Dominican faculty and students and will answer questions about the academic program.

Financial Aid Week

February 3-7, 2026

Financial Aid Week is an opportunity for admitted students to receive individual financial aid consultations. We know you may have some questions about the financial aid offer you’ve received, so let's break down the details together. Don't miss your chance to walk through this critical information with an admission counselor. Register now for a one-on-one appointment to discuss your aid offer, including out of pocket costs, payment plan options, and more.

Admitted Student Day

Admitted students are invited to campus to learn more about Dominican University. Students will be able to attend sample first year seminar sessions while families can learn from other parents and guardians the successes and struggles they've had to get their students to and through college. Students and families together will also learn about the financial aid process, learn more about various departments and services on campus, take full tours, and enjoy a catered lunch. 

Spanish-language presentations for both the financial aid and parent panel sessions will be available.

There will be an option on the registration form for Nursing SIM Lab tour at 9 a.m. in Parmer Hall.
