Winter SOAR

Welcome to Dominican University! To help you prepare for your future at Dominican, we have created a special session of the Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR) program to assist in your transition as a new student.

Through your SOAR program, you will learn about the academic expectations of the university, discover opportunities for student involvement, find out about services and resources, and meet other Dominican students.

What is SOAR?

All programs will begin at 9:00 a.m. CST with a check in and welcome session. After learning about Dominican history and getting acclimated to the campus community, you will meet other incoming students and your TORCH (orientation) Leaders. These current students will guide you throughout your orientation experience. You will learn about the different core curricula options at Dominican and prepare for your advising session. You'll register for classes, learn about Dominican's commitment to diversity and equity, and hear from important campus partners.

If you have a documented disability or believe you have a disability but don’t yet have documentation, you may request accommodations.  Our Accommodations & Disability Access (ADA) office will follow up with you to coordinate support with the SOAR team. Learn more.

2025 Winter SOAR Programs

Dates for the 2025 Winter SOAR programs will be posted soon.

You must pay your Tuition Deposit before registering for the SOAR program. If you have not paid your deposit yet, you can do so here. Soon after you pay your deposit, you will receive an email to register for SOAR.
