What You’ll Learn 

Through the Applied Business major, you’ll explore the dynamics of adult learning, organizational development, labor relations and social and environmental responsibility. Our curriculum helps you build a practical understanding of how workplaces evolve and professionals grow with them. You’ll graduate with the skills and expertise for degree pathways or careers in corporate training, adult education, labor relations, human resources and more.

At Dominican, our BPS programs are built with embedded micro-certificates that equip you with marketable credentials at each stage of your journey. Each micro-certificate can be completed with 2 to 4 classes. This integrated structure ensures that you’ll be able to pause and continue your education as your personal and professional needs evolve without having to repeat classes.

Learn the foundations of employment law and build skills in developing a strong organizational framework.

This micro-certificate will prepare you to teach adult learners in the workplace.

Develop the skills to foster a healthy work environment with a focus on social justice and sociology of labor.

This micro-certificate equips you with essential leadership skills, with a focus on union relations and employment law.

Learn the essentials of building sustainable organizations with a focus on social justice and environmental law.

Our adult and continuing studies programs are a natural bridge to some of our most high-impact master's degrees, such as our Master of Business Administration or MA in Trauma Informed Leadership programs. High-achieving undergraduates can also apply to take select graduate courses even before finishing your baccalaureate degree—so you can complete your master’s degree faster and save on tuition.
