Service placements can include positions in areas like:

Each year, Dominican graduates commit a year or more to post-graduate service through programs such asthe Dominican Volunteers, Peace Corps, AmeriCorps,L'Arche, Jesuit Volunteer Corps and others, in both faith-based and secular settings.University Ministry also hosts a post-graduate service panel each fall semester, and staff are available for ongoing support each spring.

Engaging in service work after completing your degree can provide the following:

  • An opportunity to serve and be in solidarity with those who are most marginalized in society
  • Real-world, professional experience in your field or a field you are thinking of pursuing
