Professor Tinker is Professor Emeritus at ILIFF School of Theology in Denver and is a member of the Osage Nation. His publications include American Indian Liberation: A Theology of Sovereignty; and Spirit and Resistance: Political Theology and American Indian Liberation. Scientists help us understand the ways that we are living through extreme ecological destruction. Tinker will explore how both the historical trauma and the survival of American Indian cultures and values may make the difference for the survival and sustainability of the earth as we know it. He will share with us a new way of living.Committed to the ecumenical movement, and has been active in volunteer capacities with several denominations at the national level, the National Council of Churches and the World Council of Churches.
