Pay Your Tuition Deposit
Start by paying your tuition deposit—this lets us know you’re coming and secures your place in your class. The $200 tuition deposit is refundable until May 1.

Register for Admitted Student Day
Admitted Student Day is your chance to connect with your future classmates and get all the details about this immersive program. You'll receive information on online registration when it becomes available. You can also arrange a personal visit to discuss your academic interests, degree requirements and financial aid.
Apply for Housing
You have the option to live on campus in the La Casa Residence Hall during year one of the program. If you would like to move forward, please complete your housing application as soon as possible to provide us with the information needed to assign your room and roommate. Please note that no housing deposit is needed.
Apply for Financial Aid
Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Dominican University’s code is 001750. The FAFSA is required if you wish to be considered for need-based financial aid. Students who are ineligible to file the FAFSA and are Illinois residents can complete the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid. Questions? Call (708) 524-6809 or email finaid@dom.edu.
You should also finalize your financial aid by submitting any requested documents made by our Office of Financial Aid. These documents may include a verification worksheet, tax transcript, W2 Form, Checklist for Direct Student Loan, etc.

Before you attend orientation, please request a final official transcript (including your graduation date) from your high school and have the transcript sent to:

Photocopies and faxes of transcripts cannot be accepted as official. Mailed official transcripts must be received in unopened envelopes, sealed by the high school/institution. We need your transcripts to comply with state and federal regulations for financial aid eligibility, and to advise you on course selection and registration.
Attend Your Registration and Orientation Program
We’ve developed a program to welcome you into the Dominican University community and give you the tools to succeed both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll meet with your academic advisor and register for classes, learn about campus resources, and meet your fellow classmates.
Orientation is required for all new Dominican students and takes place toward the end of summer. You will be contacted by email when registration opens and must pay your tuition deposit before you can reserve a spot. Online assessments may be required prior to your session to help in creating your course schedule. You’ll also participate in a week-long Transitions program the week before the start of classes to ensure you’re set up for success.
Submit Your Health Records

Complete Required Title IX Training
Dominican University requires that all new students complete online training that will help you further understand important topics like sexual harassment and bystander intervention. Invitations will be sent to your Dominican email at the end of the summer.
Get Ready for Welcome Weekend
Before classes begin, we kick off the fall semester with Welcome Weekend. Dates will be released in early summer. The fun will begin with move-in day and be followed by orientation programs for you and your family, including social events designed to connect you with your new community. Keep an eye on your inbox for registration details as they become available.

This qualifies you to apply for campus housing as well as sign up for orientation where you'll register for classes.

Learn about your life at Dominican by attending a class, meeting with the admission and financial aid staff and hearing tips from current Dominican students on how to make the most of career-building internships, leadership programs, study abroad programs, championship-level NCAA Division III athletics, sponsored undergraduate research—and so much more.
Live on Campus
If you’re interested in living on campus, you must submit a housing application along with a $200 housing deposit to secure your on-campus residency.
