Pre Medical Studies Program
This program is designed as an academic bridge for students who have completed a bachelor's degree and who intend to pursue a degree in the medical sciences including but not limited to: MD, Ph.D, DO, OD, DMD, DC, MA, and MS.
We offer the opportunity to take pre-requisite and advanced coursework as well as a specialized second bachelor's degree, the BMS, Bachelors of Medical Science.
DU's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Studies Program is appropriate both for students who have never before taken introductory natural science courses (career-changers) and for students who need to improve their grades in the science pre-requisites before applying to a professional program.
Coordinated Program in Dietetics
Dominican University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) to offer a program that includes a Bachelor Degree in Nutrition Science and also fulfills the Supervised Practice requirements to sit for the Examination for Registered Dietitian administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. The Supervised Practice will have an emphasis on Cultural Diversity in Child Nutrition, with 1200 hours of experience divided between community, clinical and food management.
