If you hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, you may be eligible for one of Dominican's post-baccalaureate programs.
Pre Medical Studies Program
This program is designed as an academic bridge for students who have completed a bachelor's degree and who intend to pursue a degree in the medical sciences including but not limited to: MD, Ph.D, DO, OD, DMD, DC, MA, and MS.
We offer the opportunity to take pre-requisite and advanced coursework as well as a specialized second bachelor's degree, the BMS, Bachelors of Medical Science.
DU's Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Studies Program is appropriate both for students who have never before taken introductory natural science courses (career-changers) and for students who need to improve their grades in the science pre-requisites before applying to a professional program.
Nutrition and Dietetics
Dominican University is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) to offer a program where students with a previous bachelor’s degree in another field can receive a certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics. This certificate program is a non-degree program that offers the ACEND accredited core coursework requirements. The length of time of completion of this program varies depending on previous coursework transferred in but on average it takes about 3-4 semesters. Certificate students must complete a minimum of 34 credit hours from Dominican University.
