Members of Dominican University's men’s volleyball team took their skills to Europe over winter break, competing in four matches in three different countries.

The Stars played against the Slovenian U18 National Team, Croatian U18 National Team, and two Italian club teams. They also took in the sites of Zagreb, Croatia; Ljubljana and Maribor, Slovenia; Venice, Bologna and Rome in Italy; and Vatican City.

This was the first overseas trip for men’s volleyball.

“This was a once in a lifetime experience for our young men to travel overseas, represent Dominican University, experience new cultures, meet new people, and make lifelong memories,” said Head Coach Doug Burchett. “Our players, staff and families who joined us on the trip had an incredible visit to Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. We were able to play a lot of solid volleyball against high-level teams and also have a lot of fun exploring all the different cities."
