For decades, Lund Auditorium in the Dominican University Performing Arts Center (DUPAC) has been a place of learning and celebration. These seats have held more than just audiences. They’ve held the nervous energy of potential freshmen. The quiet pride of a parent watching their child graduate. The gasps, laughter and transformative silence that happens when a community truly connects. 

As we reimagine DUPAC’s Lund Auditorium for the next generation of dreamers, learners and performers, we invite you to leave a lasting mark on the space where it all happens. Having recently elevated our stage illumination and modernized our guest amenities, we are now embarking on the final stage of our revitalization: refreshing the seating that has faithfully served our community for decades. 

As Dominican University marks its 125th anniversary, join us in writing the next chapter by naming a seat to enhance this cherished venue. A named seat creates a lasting tribute that supports renewal while honoring the amazing people who have shaped Dominican’s story.

With new seating planned for installation in Summer 2027, Dominican will reopen this beloved facility with fresh energy in the fall, ready to welcome new voices, faces and moments for connection. Giving levels range from $500 to $1,000 per seat depending on location and include a personalized naming plate that honors your contribution. Join us:

FAQs

Through this campaign, you and other supporters can play a direct role in restoring DUPAC, ensuring that it can serve students, alumnae/i, visitors and other community members for decades to come. Individuals who name a seat will be recognized with a metal plate on one (or more) of the new Lund Auditorium seats. These plates will remain on the seats for their entire lifespan.

You can make a donation through our online form. If you prefer to donate over the phone or by mail, please call us at (708) 524-6317 and one of the Dominican University Advancement team members will walk you through next steps.

Gifts for seat recognition start at $500 and range up to $1,000.

Seat selection is available by section only. While we’re not able to offer individual seat numbers or rows, your named seat will be placed within the section you choose. 

Our goal is to honor every donor’s contribution in a meaningful and consistent way. At the close of the campaign, we will choose a seat for you and inform you of its location.

Yes, you can dedicate a seat in “In Memory of” or “In Honor of” someone special. Names and any additional copy must be within 30 characters (spaces not included) and is subject to the approval of Dominican University.

Your donation is a naming opportunity and does not imply seat ownership or reserve the seat for any performance. Patrons must purchase tickets for all performances.

Our seat renovation is part of a broader vision to re-energize the center as a hub for creativity, learning and shared experiences. Through visionary support, we hope to expand DUPAC’s footprint through extended and flexible event spaces and increased accessibility, transforming how our community and visitors engage and connect.
