Exam Integrity (Proctortrack)
In remote learning situations, exam integrity can be maintained by verifying the student’s identity and monitoring the environment to ensure only approved materials and aids are used during the test. The Proctortrack service can be turned on when requested by faculty or when required for accreditation purposes. Proctortrack offers the following levels of service:
Level 1: ProctorLock (can be activated on request)
- The student’s identity is verified by webcam at the start of the exam.
- The computer system is locked down to prevent access to unapproved applications or websites. (The list of allowed applications and websites can be specified for each exam.)
- The exam session is recorded in the form of video, audio and desktop screenshots.
- The session recordings are made available to professors for review.
Level 2: ProctorAuto (default)
- The student’s identity is verified by webcam at the start of the exam.
- The computer system is locked down to prevent access to unapproved applications or websites. (The list of allowed applications and websites can be specified for each exam.)
- The exam session is recorded in the form of video, audio and desktop screenshots.
- An artificial intelligence system analyzes the recorded information and automatically flags any suspicious activity for further review by faculty.
- The session recordings are made available to professors for review.
Level 3: Proctortrack QA (can be activated on request)
- The student’s identity is verified by webcam at the start of the exam.
- The computer system is locked down to prevent access to unapproved applications or websites. (The list of allowed applications and websites can be specified for each exam.)
- The exam session is recorded in the form of video, audio and desktop screenshots.
- An artificial intelligence system analyzes the recorded information and automatically flags any suspicious activity for further investigation.
- Human proctors check and validate the results of the analysis in a manual quality assurance process.
- The session recordings are made available to professors for review.
Level 4: ProctorLive AI (not used)
- Dominican does not subscribe to this level of service.
- The student’s identity is verified by webcam at the start of the exam.
- The computer system is locked down to prevent access to unapproved applications or websites. (The list of allowed applications and websites can be specified for each exam.)
- The exam session is recorded in the form of video, audio and desktop screenshots.
- Human proctors, supported by the artificial intelligence system, analyze the live testing environment and intervene in any suspicious activity in real time.
- The session recordings are made available to professors for review.
