Roberta McMahon is the Chief of Staff and oversees strategic initiatives on behalf of the Office of the President. She has served Dominican University in various capaciteis over the years, including as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Dominican University from 2006-2023. She was also the Assistant Dean in the Brennan School of Business from 1999-2005. During her brief period away from DU, she was a Manager of Human Resources at RSM McGladrey, a mid-sized public accounting firm. Her previous HR experiences focused on recruiting, training and development, and employee relations at the Midwest Stock Exchange (now known as NYSE Chicago) and Experian, a data analytics and consumer credit reporting company. Since December 2021, Roberta has also served as the Board Secretary to the Dominican University Board of Trustees.  

Roberta graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor’s Degree in English and earned a Master of Education in Student Development from American University in Washington, DC.  She and her husband, R. J., were long-time River Forest residents, raising their two kids just down the street from the main gates.  They have since “relocated” to Forest Park and enjoy visiting their kids in Oakland, California and New York City, and love a Friday afternoon at Wrigley.
