Nancy Prange is a registered and licensed dietitian. She received her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and her Master’s in Human Nutrition from Northern Illinois University. She is pursuing her PhD in Educational Psychology and a Master’s in Public Health, both at NIU.

Nancy has over 25 years of experience working as an RDN in the community, in hospitals, as well as in education. Nancy’s passion for community nutrition is demonstrated by her work with several community and wellness programs such as the UIC Nutrition and Wellness Center, Illinois Nutrition Education and Training (IL NET), Engagement Health, Northwestern Center for Partnership Medicine and Galter Lifecenter. In 2012, she worked with community partners to initiate the CATCH program within the DeKalb school district. In 2014, she founded Camp Power, a free, collaborative summer program offered to the underserved children and families living in a local housing development. And in 2020 she developed a consortium on campus to share resources to help decrease student food insecurity. Nancy has also taught at both community colleges and universities over the past 20 years. She enjoys working with students, helping them navigate both the university and the profession, and mentoring them into their dream professional role,
