Elaine M. Egan is an adjunct professor with Dominican University’s College of Applied Social Science in the School of Information Studies (SOIS). As a seasoned information professional with 30 years of international large law firm experience, Elaine is known for her business acumen as well as building high performing teams, maximizing content value, knowledge sharing solutions, and user advocacy. 

 

Elaine is an active member of the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) and has served on numerous committees and Special Interest Group sections (SISs) including Chair of the AALL Private Law Librarians and the AALL Body of Knowledge Task Force. Elaine served as the Law Library Association of Greater New York (LLAGNY) President, as well as a member of the Wolters Kluwer Insight Council and Thompson Reuters West Advisory Board. 

 

Elaine currently serves as the Chair for the AALL State of the Profession report.  She was a former AALL Spectrum Editorial Board member and serves on the Thomson Reuters Institute, Practice Innovation Editorial Board where her articles explore knowledge management, project management, leadership, and building strategic partnerships. Additionally, Elaine has spoken on subjects related to leadership, project planning, enterprise search, and knowledge solutions.
