Cheryl graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dominican University in 2004 and returned in 2015 to complete the DPD program and coordinated dietetic internship. During her time at Dominican, she and another nutrition student created the patented food product "Guiltless Guac" in their Experimental Foods class.

Working as a Dietitian, she has gained experience in clinical nutrition, nutrition counseling, public relations, and product development. Cheryl is currently a clinical preceptor at Stroger Hospital.
