Ben Freville is an assistant professor in the School of Education and serves as the Interim Dean of the College of Applied Social Sciences. He holds degrees in curriculum and instruction, special education, and theology, and was a middle and high school teacher and special education administrator prior to joining Dominican’s faculty. His work focuses on learning strategies instruction, social and emotional learning, educational technology, and Catholic schools. His most recent article is entitled Teaching and Supporting Students with Disabilities: An Investigation of the Attitudes and Practices of Catholic High School Teachers in United States published in the International Catholic Journal of Education. He teaches courses focusing on instructional methods for students with disabilities, middle and secondary reading instruction, and educational technology.
