Kate Hall ’01, MLIS ’02 recently spoke with the Daily Herald about being named the 2021 Librarian of the Year by the Illinois Library Association. She has served as executive director of the Northbrook Public Library since January 2015.



Prior to Northbrook, Kate served as New Lenox's library director for five years. She is a former executive board member of the Illinois Library Association and Reaching Across Illinois Library System.



Kate also is the co-author, with fellow librarian Kathy Parker, of the book, The Public Library Director's Toolkit.
