Congratulations to Małgorzata Kot MLIS ’13 on her 25th anniversary as an employee at the Polish Museum of America (PMA). As PMA’s Managing Director, she fulfills the museum's mission of preserving the past for future generations.



Małgorzata began working at PMA as Head Librarian in 1995 and she was appointed PMA’s Managing Director in 2014. She cooperates with many organizations and institutions in Poland and across the United States, and especially in Chicago, including other ethnic museums, Polish American organizations, universities, and professional organizations.



Małgorzata is the author of numerous publications and articles, many featured in Polonian press. She has been recognized with many awards and distinctions, including the Officer’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in 2019.



In 2016, Małgorzata was recognized as the Person of the Year by Chicago’s Polish Daily News for her “inexhaustible energy and ingenuity in promoting the resources of the Museum, which it has given a new dimension to suit the 21st century”.
