Where did you intern while completing your degree?

I did three internships during my time at Dominican. During the fall semester of my sophomore year, I interned at the Treasury Management Association of Chicago. During the summer semester before my senior year, I was the Finance and Accountant Intern at the Art Institute of Chicago. Finally, during the spring semester of my senior year, I interned at Friedman and Huey as a Tax Intern.

What was your favorite part about the BCDP program?

The amount of resource available from workshops, to career fairs, to coaching from the Brennan Career Development office.

What did you learn from the BCDP program?

Building connections is one of the most important things you can do in your career. Professors, advisors, mentors as well as your peers are important connections that will elevate your professional life. Dominican gave me all the resources, support, and encouragement I needed to pursue all my career goals. Thanks to all the wonderful assistance from the Brennan School of Business I was able to complete multiple internships as an undergrad and become a full-time accountant right after graduation.

What do you want prospective students to know about Dominican/Brennan and the career development program?

The Brennan School of business has all the resources you need to compete and thrive in the competitive world of business. Brennan will provide ample opportunities to sharpen your skills and help bring out new skills you were aware you had. Lastly, everyone in career development will give you their all to make sure you succeed in all your endeavors.
