What does identity verification involve?
You will be asked to provide key documents including a government-issued photo ID, as well as identifying information such as your social security number and a current photo of yourself. This allows us to confirm that the person completing the enrollment process is the same person who has been admitted to Dominican.
The process is designed to be simple and secure, and you will receive instructions through your Dominican admission portal.
-
Why is this required?
Identity fraud has become a growing concern across higher education nationwide, prompting colleges and universities and the U.S. Department of Education to strengthen identity verification and fraud-prevention measures. At Dominican University, identity verification is one of the steps we are taking to help protect your personal information and student record, prevent identity fraud and unauthorized enrollment, and help ensure that financial aid and other resources reach the students they are intended to support. We are committed to keeping your data secure.
-
How will my information be used?
Information submitted through the identity verification process is handled securely and used only for the purpose of confirming your identity and protecting the integrity of your student record, in accordance with applicable privacy and data protection requirements.

What do I need to do?
If you are a new Dominican student, you will receive instructions to complete identity verification through your admission portal. Please complete this step promptly so you can move forward with your enrollment.
This is a one-time verification process for your enrollment at Dominican.
