Your Support System Starts Here

We know that navigating college and understanding how to access campus resources can be challenging. With Dominican University’s TRIO Student Support Services, you don’t have to take on your college journey alone.

With academic workshops, one-on-one support, tutoring and more, we’re here to equip you with the resources, tools and guidance you need to thrive in college and make the most of your Dominican experience. Students can join TRIO at any stage of their college journey and remain part of the program through graduation.

The goals of Dominican's TRIO program include:

  • Support your academic growth and performance
  • Connecting you with tools and resources designed to help you graduate
  • Ensuring we work together to meet the academic benchmarks required to return each year of your college experience to DU

Program highlights include:

  • More than 93% of students who participate in TRIO continue on after their first year in the program
  • Approximately 97% of TRIO participants maintain exceptional academic standing

Testimonial

As a proud first-generation college student, one of the things I love about Dominican's TRIO program is the mentorship aspect it includes. This not only helps students in academics and career exploration, but also provides resources and people who are there for emotional and mental support."

It's Good to Go First

At Dominican, we know what it's like to go first. Around half of our students are the first in their families to go to college—which means you're in good company here.

You'll be surrounded by peers, faculty, and staff who get it. Who challenge you, champion you and celebrate the work it takes to be here. At Dominican, being first-gen is something to be proud of. And we make sure you feel that every day.
