¡El Futuro is Here! Conference

In August 2023, the ¡El Futuro is Here! Haciendo Lío In Our Own Voices conference served as the national launch of the PASOS Network.

¡El Futuro is Here! Haciendo Lío In Our Own Voices welcomed nearly 250 participants representing over forty Catholic and faith-based institutions on Dominican University’s campus from August 1-3. For the third ¡El Futuro is Here! we brought together a community that celebrates the cultural practices of our Latinx students and sees them as constituents of a vibrant faith en lo cotidiano (in the everyday). Emerging from relationships, cultures, and intellectual and theological frameworks, scholars, ministers, and student leaders convened to discuss ways in which young adults can be protagonistas of their own journeys for the future of the academy and the church through storytelling, dialogue, and haciendo lío in their own voices!
