The MLIS/MBA is an ideal choice if you seek a career in specialized libraries or information centers, which may require or recommend two master’s degrees.

The School of Information Studies Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) combined with Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Brennan School of Business is designed for managers of large libraries and information centers. The program's concurrent nature also allows students to develop and integrate their skills more effectively.

The combined MLIS/MBA degree program is not open to students who have already earned a master's degree in the field of library and information science or business administration. Students may apply for admission to the combined degree program at any time while they are enrolled in either program. No advance assurance can be given that such admission will be granted. Anyone interested in the program should contact the School of Information Studies.
