Supreme Court Rules Trump Can't End DACA

Dominican University student Carlos Benitez, president of the Undocumented and Immigrants Allyance, celebrates the Supreme Court's ruling blocking the Trump administration from rescinding DACA. He claims his parents were always upfront with him and his siblings about their undocumented status.

"They didn't want us to feel that we had to be shameful of who we were or that we had to hide. So they were always really open about our situation," he told Chicago Tonight. Carlos helped organize a Zoom celebration of the DACA ruling with other Dominican undocumented students and supporters.
