Referring to them as pioneers in the modern quilt movement, Myrna Petlicki of the Pioneer Press, a Chicago Tribune newspaper, wrote about the work of Bill Kerr, professor of graphic design, and his wife Weeks Ringle. The couple have been professional quilters for more than two decades and are co-founders of the Modern Quilt Studio and the authors of six books on quilting. Their quilts are included in many prominent private and museum collections and three will be on display during Dominican's faculty art show, September 15 - October 22. 

Kerr and Ringle have traveled all over the world teaching their quilting and design techniques and, despite their busy schedules, they so a great deal of charity work, donating quilts for various fundraisers.
