In the News: Marie Molde, RD, MBA ’11 Named a ‘Rising Star’ in Produce Industry

Marie Molde, RD, MBA ’11 has been recognized among the “rising stars of produce” by Produce Business, an international publication and website dedicated to the fruit, vegetable and floral industries.

Molde was named to Produce Business’ “40 Under 40” for 2022. The annual list, according to the publication, “spotlights rising entrepreneurs and leaders who have shaped the produce industry in a very short time and are paving the way for what comes next.”

Molde is a registered dietitian and health and wellness expert for Chicago-based Datassential, a food and beverage market research firm that uses data insights to aid in decision-making for the food and beverage industry.

Produce Business credited Molde for her collaboration with fresh produce bands to “bring plants to the forefront of consumers’ plates.”

As a “highly sought-after plant-based expert,” Molde has been interviewed by major news networks and publications.

“I truly believe the number one thing we can do to increase the health and happiness of our population is to consume more produce,” Molde told Produce Business.

“I’ve seen a huge shift in the industry to focusing on the benefits and importance of plant-forward eating,” she added. “I find this incredibly exciting."
