The Wednesday Journal talked with a number of local schools about their efforts to get students vaccinated before the Illinois governor's deadline of September 5. Unlike other local schools, Dominican has already required faculty, staff and students to be fully vaccinated before returning to campus. As of August 30, 91% of full-time faculty and staff and 86% of students were fully vaccinated. Students who have not shown proof of vaccination by September 24 will be dismissed from the fall semester.
