Dominican University will kick off the 2021-2022 academic year on Wednesday, September 15 with an exhibit of work by faculty in the department of art and design. An opening reception will be held from 4 to 7 p.m.; participating faculty will discuss their work at 4:30 p.m. The exhibit continues through October 22 in the O’Connor Art Gallery, located on the fourth floor of Lewis Hall, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest.

Participating artists include:

  • Noelle Allen (ceramics), assistant professor of sculpture
  • Javier Carmona (photography), professor of photography and cinema
  • Jeffery Cote de Luna (painting), professor of painting
  • Bill Kerr (quilts), professor of graphic design
  • Theresa “Nacho” Montiel (video), adjunct instructor, art and design
  • Frank Spidale (painting), assistant professor of painting

The O’Connor Art Gallery is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Masks are required for all visitors on campus. For more information, contact Karen Azarnia, gallery director, at kazarnia@dom.edu.
