Dominican University’s theater arts lab series presents a student production of “Mamma Mia!,” the Broadway musical romantic comedy that inspired the fifth highest-grossing movie of 2008, during the weekends of November 12-14 and November 19-21. Tickets are $18.

Incorporating the buoyant pop songs of Swedish super group ABBA, the play takes place on a fictional island in Greece in the days before a wedding. The popularity of the 2008 movie starring Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Pierce Brosnan, and Colin Firth among other A-listers, inspired a 2018 sequel, “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.”

The ultimate feel-good show, “Mamma Mia!” is a timeless tale of love and friendship--and the joy of singing and dancing with wild abandon.

The play will be performed on Fridays and Saturdays, November 12, 13, 19 and 20, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sundays, November 14 and 21, at 3 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit https://www.dom.edu/arts-minds/performing-arts-center.
