Dominican’s Men's Volleyball Ranked No. 1 for First Time in Program History

The Dominican University men’s volleyball program is used to achieving accolades—and the Stars’ 2022 campaign is already one for the record books.  

The Stars are currently No. 1 in the national rankings in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III National Poll. Dominican’s top rank is the first in program history.  

Dominican climbed to the No. 1 spot March 8 after a pair of decisive victories over Marian University and St. Norbert College, marking the first top national ranking for a Dominican athletics program in the NCAA era. 

The Stars continued their historic season with a four-set victory over 2021 Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League champion Fontbonne University on March 10. Dominican’s win was the Stars’ eighth-straight victory, improving their overall record to 12-1.
