Anne Drougas

Anne Drougas, chair of accounting, finance and entrepreneurship, Brennan School of Business, was recently featured as a financial expert in the Wallethub.com piece, Best Credit Cards for People with No Credit.

Drougas answered questions about why it is important for people without credit to have a credit card, why there is a hesitancy among some to apply for credit cards, and if it is a good idea to be an authorized user on a credit card before obtaining one’s own card.

“For those nervous about applying for a credit card, it is crucial to building a good, quality credit score,” Drougas noted. “Those individuals should consider a credit card with a low limit and charge a minimum amount every month and pay off that balance in full.”
