In the News: Dominican’s Growing First-Year Enrollment Stands Out Among Peers

Dominican University’s record-setting first-year enrollment this fall is highlighted in a new article from Inside Higher Ed on small private colleges that are experiencing growth.

Entitled “Boosting Enrollment Against the Odds,” the piece notes the demographic challenges that similar colleges — some of which have been forced to shut their doors — are facing when it comes to enrollment, but points to Dominican as a stand-out among them.

Dominican University Growing Nursing Program Through New Student Cohort

Dominican University will begin welcoming additional students to its nursing program as the regional demand for new nurses grows.

A second cohort of students studying for their Bachelor of Science in Nursing has been added to the Elizabeth T. MacNeil School of Nursing for the spring 2024 semester. The goal is to welcome 24 new juniors to the existing cohort of just over 60 students enrolled in the fall.

River Forest, IL — Hundreds of participants from dozens of acclaimed Catholic institutions of higher learning around the nation joined the Dominican University community for the third ¡El Futuro is Here! conference, gathering in the spirit of togetherness to embrace and advance culturally sustaining practices in ministry.

The three-day conference held Aug. 1-3 on Dominican University’s campus also served as a formal introduction to the institution’s PASOS Network.
