  • MUSE 2355 Applied Percussion at Concordia University Chicago (1 credit hour); Audition required
  • MUS 300 level Private Drumset and Percussion Instruction (4 cr hrs of MUS 300 per year total, or 2 cr hrs of MUS 300 and 1 cr hr of MUSE 3551)
    • Prerequisite: MUS 245 (4 credit hours) of MUS 245 (2 credit hours) and MUSE 3351 (1 credit hour)
  • MUSE 3351 Applied Percussion Majors at Concordia University Chicago (1 credit hour); Audition required
    • Prerequisite: MUS 245, 4 credit hours
  • MUS 400 level Private Drumset and Percussion Instruction (4 credit hours per year total) Prerequisite: MUS 300 level (4 credit hours) or MUS 300 level (2 credit hours) and MUS 3351 (1 credit hour)
Ensemble Courses (1-4 credit hours)

Students are required to take two of the following courses:

  • MUSE 3950 Jazz Band (0.5 Credit Hours) at Concordia University Chicago; Audition required
    • May be repeated for credit
  • MUSE 3960 University Band (0.5 Credit Hours) at Concordia University Chicago; Audition required
    • May be repeated for credit

NOTE: Student may substitute the above Ensemble Requirements Courses with a private instruction course at Dominican University, if other students are available to create an ensemble of the appropriate level. Percussion Faculty and Director of Music Discipline approval is required.

Targeted Skills (6 Credit Hours)
