Caritas Now

Dominican University is a diverse, relationship-centered community rooted in the twin values of caritas and veritas. Throughout this time in which we are experiencing physical distancing, strain and anxiety, we want to affirm and nurture compassion and concern for the common good at the heart of our mission. We will continue to provide resources for connection, care, spiritual and emotional nourishment, service and advocacy from which every member of our university community might draw and into which every one of us might contribute as our own needs, abilities, and concerns arise.
We are a people of hope. We know that we will be together again. In this in-between time, here are some ways we can remain in relationship, reach out in compassion, and even find opportunity for laughter and celebration.
Thanks to the team that is meeting regularly to create and gather these resources: Claire Noonan, Jeff Carlson, Norah Collins Pienta, Elizabeth Collier, John DeCostanza, Mary Pat Fallon, Rachel Hart Winter, Roberta McMahon, Sr. Rhonda Miska, OP, Sheila Radford-Hill, and Joy Wilder.
