Jackie Kazarian - Exhibition
From November 8 - December 15, the O’Connor Gallery will present “Heatless Light,” an exhibition by Chicago painter Jackie Kazarian.
“Heatless Light” features two bodies of work and the “clarity of looking back at something without the ‘heat’ or turbulence of a specific moment.” Pieces created during the isolation of the pandemic include small paintings and works on paper exploring the textured blues of night and the cool, heatless, fluorescent streetlights. Newer paintings are sweeping panoramic gestures suggesting renewed vitality and engagement.
