The Brennan School of Business will host Dr. Mette Morsing, Head of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact. As the UN’s largest initiative to advance responsible management education in the world, PRME engages worldwide business and management higher education institutions to foster their sustainability profiles while transforming responsible management education and ensuring they provide future leaders with the skills needed to balance economic and sustainability goals.

Dr. Morsing will discuss how the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are crucial for the world’s immediate need to address the most urgent global challenges, how business schools fit into this mindset shift movement, and the role and responsibility of businesses in our international civil society.

With research interests focused on organizational leadership and governance in the context of corporate social responsibility and sustainability, Dr. Morsing has held several leadership positions related to sustainability and responsible management throughout her career at the Stockholm School of Economics, Academy of Business in Society, and Copenhagen Business School, where she founded the Copenhagen Business School Center for Corporate Social Responsibility in 2002.
