Financial Aid

As this program offers a second bachelor's degree, some Federal Loan opportunities are available. Students accepted into this program may receive aid in the form of federal loans if they qualify. The lifetime aggregate loan limits for undergraduate students are: $31,000 for dependent students and $57,500 for independent students. The maximum combined federal loan (unsubsidized or subsidized) that can be taken by a student in the Post-Baccalaureate Medical  Studies Program is $12,500 per academic year. Students must be enrolled at least half time (6+ credit hours) in order to be eligible for federal student loans.

To apply for the federal Stafford loan, you must first complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application. Please note that when you complete the FAFSA, you should indicate you are a fifth-year undergraduate student and answer no to the question asking if you are in a graduate program. Students who need additional funds to meet their cost of attendance can apply for private education loans.

Please visit the Office of Financial Aid or email if you have questions regarding financial aid. Be sure to indicate that you are inquiring for the Post-Baccalaureate Medical Studies Program, BMS degree.
