The fast track to a first-rate business education

Imagine starting graduate school in your senior year. The Accelerated MSA Program enables you to do just that—at one of the premier business schools in the Chicago area. Your undergraduate academic advisor will help you plan a powerful curriculum that will allow you to earn a comprehensive, highly marketable accounting education in just five years—or at whatever pace works best for you. The comprehensive curriculum allows you to learn about a wide variety of topics, including financial accounting, taxation, audit and assurance services, data analytics, and business law, so you’ll be fully prepared to pass the CPA exam and to thrive in the accounting industry. Learn more.

The convenience of online. The power of personal connection.

The MSA program features 10 eight-week courses offered in an ideal online learning environment. By taking two courses toward the degree during your senior year, you can complete the remaining eight courses in a year or less—saving you time and money over traditional graduate degree programs. Add in scholarship opportunities from Dominican, the Brennan School of Business, the Illinois CPA Society, and more, and you could see even more cost savings. The curriculum at both the undergraduate and graduate levels is highly flexible and designed thoughtfully with the varying needs of students in mind. Graduate study has rarely been more engaging, convenient, relevant and transformative.

How the Accelerated MSA Program Works
  • Apply for the Accelerated MSA Program before the end of your junior year.
  • As soon as you achieve senior status, the Brennan School of Business will review your application for graduate school. To earn acceptance into the MSA program, you’ll need a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Upon acceptance, an advisor will contact you to discuss your course options for the coming semester.
  • To earn an MSA, you’ll take 10 courses, including two courses during your senior year. If you take two graduate courses as a senior, you’ll need to complete only eight more courses to earn your MSA.

“I came to Dominican without any business background. Within the year, thanks to the mentoring and support of my accounting professors, I had a job lined up after graduation at a Big Four accounting firm in downtown Chicago.”

“The program is completely online, it’s convenient and it’s flexible. The best part is you don’t need an accounting background, and you’ll still be prepared to take the CPA exam. Dominican gave me the self confidence to tell employers why I’m a desirable candidate.”
