Updated: April 20, 2021

Dear Class of 2020,

I write to you with more details regarding the in-person Candle & Rose ceremony to be held on Friday, May 7th. Typically, Candle and Rose is an Undergraduate Ceremony, but this May we are inviting Graduate and Undergraduate from the Class of 2020 to participate.

While Candle and Rose will be held in person, COVID-19 mitigation strategies will be in place, including no guests on campus and no reception following the ceremony. Your Rose will participate with you in person. The Candle and Rose ceremony will be streamed live for families and friends.

To participate in the Candle and Rose ceremony, you need to have registered both yourself and your Rose by April 15. Registration is now closed, as capacity restrictions are in place.

A couple other reminders:

  • You and your family are invited to attend the Baccalaureate Mass via live stream on Thursday, May 6th.
  • Caps and gowns will be worn by the Class of 2020 for the Candle and Rose ceremony. Should you need to order regalia for the in-person Candle and Rose ceremony please do so by visiting this website. Orders may take up to three weeks to ship to your home so please plan accordingly.
  • View the Class of 2020 Candle and Rose Information page.

We are very proud of you and your accomplishments and look forward to celebrating with you!

Sincerely,
Norah Collins Pienta
Dean of Student
