The Breaking through Barriers Award
  • encourages and recognizes AAUW branch programming that breaks through barriers for women and girls.
Eleanor Roosevelt Fund Award
  • Biennially honors an individual, project, organization, or institution for outstanding contributions to equity and education.
Women of Distinction Awards
  • Awarded by AAUW and NASPA as a part of the National Conference for College Women Student Leaders, recognize women who set a high standard of excellence in their professions or their communities, locally or globally.
Jeannette Rankin Foundation
  • For low-income 35 year old or older women admitted in a regionally or ACICS accredited school, or pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate's degree, or a first bachelor's degree.
Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund
  • To support the education of women from developing countries who are committed to improving the lives of other women and children in a developing country.

The Selected Professions Fellowships Program

  • Awarded to women who intend to pursue a full-time course of study at accredited U.S. institutions during the fellowship year in one of the designated degree programs where women's participation traditionally has been low (see list below).
  • Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

The Dr. Wynetta A. Frazier "Sister to Sister" Scholarship
  • Awarded to mature African American women (at least thirty years of age and older) who are returning to college without the support of a spouse
  • Amount: $500
