History of the Trustee Benefit Concert and Gala

Dominican University’s annual Trustee Benefit Concert and Gala was established in 1981 by Sr. Candida Lund, then president of Rosary College, as the institution was known at the time. For 38 years and counting, the event has brought world-class performing artists to our west suburban campus, showcasing their artistic excellence, while also honoring notable figures in the Chicago arts community with presentation of the Bravo Award.

Now under the leadership of Dominican University President Donna Carroll, the Benefit also raises needed scholarship support for Dominican University’s students. Since its inception, the Benefit has raised more than $7.5 million for the University’s scholarship fund.
