Participation in University Ministry fosters the expression of community that is at the heart of Dominican University and one of the four pillars. The University Ministry Center provides opportunities and programs on campus that bring together students of all backgrounds to give expression to an intentionally inclusive, authentically diverse, and genuinely welcoming University community. Taking time with and for others allows relationships to deepen, strengthens the interaction and relationships of students, faculty and staff, and provides outreach to all parts of the University.
To see which community outreach events are happening soon, check out the News and Events page.
Stop by University Ministry on the first Wednesday of each month for the ever-popular Bagel Day! Bagels, fair trade coffee, and juice are available, as well as opportunities to learn more about the programs of the University Ministry Center and other engagement opportunities across campus. Our doors open at 8 a.m. and we stick around until the bagels are gone (usually about 10 a.m.). Bagel Day is sponsored in conjunction with "What's on Wednesday?" and the Office of Student Involvement. Join us this year on the following dates:

Community-Building Events & Opportunities
Community is one of the Four Pillars of Dominican life, and relationship-centered ministry is at the heart of the mission of the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa. Because building communities of friendship, joy, and support are so important to our way of life, University Ministry periodically brings people together for fellowship and fun. Past opportunities have included frisbee on the quad, annual bonfire, game nights, outdoor tie-dye, bikes rides, and whiffle ball games.
On select evenings, the Ministry Center will be open in the evening to host students from across the University during After Hours. After Hours is a program designed to provide a comfortable place for studying, hanging out with friends, and enjoying refreshments in the evening hours. Stop by on a study break or bring homework and friends. As you unwind from your busy days, we hope you will join us for good food, good people, and good fun.
