The Office of Student Involvement is committed to helping commuter students connect to Dominican University through resources, programs and student leadership opportunities. Here you can find many helpful resources available to you through campus and the community.
If you have any questions about being a commuter student or being involved on campus, please contact Michael Lango, director of Student Involvement, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (708) 524-6527. You may also submit suggestions, ideas, concerns or issues anonymously through the Commuter Student Suggestion Box.
Commuter Student Association (CSA)
Our purpose is to serve as a representative organization for all commuter students at Dominican University. CSA will provide commuter students with assistance in addressing questions and concerns as related to the larger commuter experience on campus. While serving as commuter representatives, CSA strives to create partnerships within the university and help to promote a commuter friendly atmosphere. CSA also serves as an organization to facilitate and organize events that are specially designed to meet the different needs of the commuting student body.
How Can I Join?
CSA is open to all students. Our meetings are informal and are a great way to come and meet new people, share ideas, express concerns and take on leadership roles.
What Type of Events Does CSA Do?
CSA plans a variety of events that commuters can enjoy. Each year around Halloween we do haunted tours, where we take campus tours and highlight the ghost stories of Dominican's past. We also have dances, laser tag, game nights, clothing drives and other events. We are always looking for new ways to involve commuters so stop by a meeting and share your ideas.
How Can I Find Out More?
To learn more attend one of the CSA meetings or contact CSA at email@example.com. You can also drop a note in our student organization mailbox in the Student Involvement Resource Center, Coughlin 040.
Why A Camel Mascot
CSA’s logo is the camel for a very important reason. Camels are always traveling just like commuter students. The roller skates are just for fun.
