Ready to move into the field of school administration?
If you have at least two years of successful full-time experience in either teaching or student personnel work, our Administrative Leadership Program could be right for you. With this degree, you'll be ready to succeed in Catholic, private or public school settings.
We'll help you gain the knowledge, skills and day-to-day capabilities needed to face the challenges of this vital education career area. You'll work with top local administrators during your field experience hours. You’ll also be fully prepared to obtain Type 75 Administrative Certification in the State of Illinois.
Complete 36 semester hours of prescribed graduate credit while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
Complete 100 field experience hours and 25 clock hours of administrative shadowing required by the policies and procedures of the Administrative Leadership Program in the School of Education and approved by the Program Director.
Attain a passing grade earned on the State of Illinois General Administrative Test after completing all courses and field experience required in the program.
Document two or more full years of successful full-time teaching and/or student personnel work in an elementary or secondary school.

This program is specifically designed for individuals with a minimum of two years of successful full time teaching experience or student personnel work and who already hold a graduate degree in education and wish to become school administrators of public, Catholic and other nonpublic elementary schools.
Must already hold a graduate degree in education.
Complete a core curriculum of 25 semester hours plus an elective to total at least 27 hours, while maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.0 out of 4.0.
